Thank you to everyone who took part in “Starbound Sabbatical”! We’ve had a stellar time again this year!

Your fuzzy invasion has struck yet again in full force – a total of 3,637 attendees took to the stars for our final year at the Westin Harbour Castle! At least 1,867 fursuiters were spotted – almost 260 more than last year’s con! We hope to see even more friends in 2027.

Better yet, we have managed to raise at least $30,538 for our amazing charity, Procyon Wildlife! We have not finalized our donation total, but we still shattered our 2025 record by almost $10,000! Feel proud to help with supporting Ontario’s wildlife conservation for yet another year!

As always, a huge shout-out to our staff team who keep the convention running and the volunteers who generously offered their time during the convention. You make this convention possible! For those are interested in applying to staff, check our “Volunteer” page here on the website in a few weeks.

If you did not receive an email containing our 2026 attendee survey and you did attend this year, we ask that you take the time to fill it out! Your feedback helps us improve each year.

As you may know, Furnal Equinox 2027 will be held on February 13th – 15th, 2027 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto! The event will be Saturday to Monday instead of Friday to Sunday as it was at the WHC.

Next year’s theme “Critter Clash” will feature 3 factions — the Strays, the Wildland Wardens, and Glowparty — who will compete against each other for glory and rewards!
The Strays are rebellious, urban, “trashy” critters. Wildland Wardens are earthy, warm, and in touch with nature. Glowparty embodies our most cheerful vibes – rainbows, glitter, saturation!

We hope you join us with our upcoming Guests of Honour, Chise and Amyte, for next year’s event!
