We’d like to start by apologizing for the difficulties with the hotel room block this year. While our hotel team has spent many hours working with the Westin on this year’s opening, there were a series of unforeseen circumstances outside our control which created massive delays and compounded complications.
Our initial plan was to perform a second room draw with the remaining rooms within the block, but ultimately we decided that the best solution would be to simply release those rooms to the public in a traditional “first come, first served” manner.
Those who won the initial room draw have been contacted and given an opportunity to book before the remaining rooms are released to the public.
We understand that this decision may be frustrating for some, and it was not taken lightly. However, as we are less than two months away from the convention, we are not comfortable risking more issues that may further prolong the room booking process.
The Westin room block and access code will be available to the public on Thursday, January 29th from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM ET.
A link to the booking portal will be posted on the hotel page of our website. There will be an access code beneath the link which will be necessary to access the block.
We anticipate the block selling out extremely quickly, but if there are remaining rooms, the block will also be open on Friday, January 30th for the same time frame. We do not have any availability outside what is shown in Passkey; we cannot guarantee any specific dates or room types.
Double bed rooms are not available within the block. To accommodate more people, we have set up a block of king rooms with a cot available for the discounted price of $15 per stay. This block will have a separate access code than our standard room block. Both codes will be available beneath the booking link and the blocks will be open for the same time frame.
While we have made every effort to minimize the likelihood of errors or further issues within Passkey, the system may have difficulties under the stress of a general opening. Please be patient when attempting to booking a room.
Additionally, we’d like to remind you that our overflow hotel block at the Novotel has also sold out. If you do not have a room within one of our convention blocks, you will need find alternate accommodations for Furnal Equinox 2026.
