Artists Alley Information Package
Document Number: PRO-DE-001
Revision Number: 0
The Artists Alley is a dedicated space for starter and beginner artists to get a partial vending table at no extra cost. This is a great space for small makers to take commissions, display their art and wares, or gain a wider audience!
Interested artists will fill out a short application form before the convention. Artists participating in Artists Alley must abide by all convention and Dealers Den rules. If anything is unclear, FE staff will ALWAYS have final say.
Any questions should be sent to the Dealers Den team at dealers@furnalequinox.com. Please do not privately message staff members with any concerns related to the Artists Alley.
General Rules
- Including the additional rules below, artists are required to respect the rules as stated in the Dealer’s Information Package available on the Furnal Equinox website.
- Artists are required to be registered for the convention to be offered a slot within the den.
- Artist Alley scheduling placements are chosen at random to give an extra chance for artists to vend, whether they are a newer dealer trying to get into vending, have less of a time commitment, or otherwise.
- As artists are chosen at random, please respect this process. Do not sneak onto a table and try not to undermine other vendors by stealing a slot.
- Artists are not allowed to play music or have flashing lights that may be disturbing to your fellow artists.
- AI generated content, such as images or writing, is strictly prohibited.
- Electronics such as tablets, phones and laptops are permitted. Power and Wi-Fi will NOT be provided, so plan accordingly.

There is no cost to participate within the Artist Alley; however, artists must have a valid convention badge for the day to participate.

Location

The Dealers information table, for check-in and any questions, can be found centered at the back of the den.
Schedule
Friday: 12PM – 2PM // LUNCH HOUR // 3PM – 7PM
Saturday: 10AM – 2PM //LUNCH HOUR // 3PM – 6PM
Sunday: 10AM – 1PM // LUNCH HOUR // 2PM – 4PM
Reminder: Artists are not allowed to be present in the Dealers Den during setup and closing hours.
Timeslots
Artists will be rotated/changed each day. Timeslots are offered in the Artist Alley for all operating hours of the dealers den for a single day. Slots open when the Dealers Den opens to the public, and close at the end of public operating hours. Depending on the number of applicants, we will randomly offer up to three additional timeslots over the course of the weekend.
While we will do our best to honor timeslot requests, artists are not guaranteed to receive it.
Artists will NOT have access to the dealers’ set up and tear down times, and therefore will be expected to set up when the Den’s doors open to attendees that day. Artists enter based on their registration tier’s entry (a guest artist will enter when the den opens to guests, and patrons will enter with patrons, etc.)
Artists and their belongings may NOT remain in the den overnight. Artists are responsible to pick up after themselves and leave their allocated space clear after their timeslot is over. Artists should prepare for den closure at minimum ten minutes before the den closes for the day to be out by dens closing.
Check-In/Check-Out
Artists are required to check in and out at the Dealers Information table upon their arrival to announce their slot as claimed. Artists have one hour after the den opens to the public to check-in before they are considered a no-show (Friday until 1PM, Saturday until 11AM, Sunday until 11AM).
On completion of your timeslot or if you need to leave early, you required to check out with staff. If there has been no communication to staff and the allotted time has passed, staff will consider your timeslot forfeited, the space abandoned, and it shall be made available and given to a wait listed artist instead.
Artists will receive a sticker designating that they are accepted to vend with us in the Artist Alley that will be located on their badge.
Artists enter the den as per their registration levels, through the entrance and cannot bypass the lines (guests enter with guests, patrons enter with patrons during their allotted early access, etc.)
During Your Time Slot
Artists are expected to remain at the table for the entirety of their time slot if they wish to keep it. 15-minute breaks are permitted for bathroom/food/personal purposes.
Artists will be allowed to enter and remain in the den during the den breaks.
If circumstances cause artists to be delayed or need to forfeit their table, please come to the Dealers Information table, or email dealers@furnalequinox.com as soon as possible so the situation can be addressed accordingly. Life happens, and we are willing to come to a solution that benefits everyone.
No Show and At-Con Waitlist
Artist Alley vendors have until one hour after den opening before they are considered a no-show. (Friday until 1PM, Saturday until 11AM, Sunday until 11AM)
Vacant/no shows spots will be given at a ‘first-come-first serve’ basis. Artists who are interested in claiming an empty spot will have to report to the Dealers Information table to sign onto a waiting list. A new at-con waitlist will be made every day. Signups from the previous days will not carry over.
If personal belongings are found at the table after hours, they will be turned over to the lost and found at Con Ops.
Rule Violations
Any participant that violates our rules and code of conduct (found on the Furnal Equinox website), as determined by Furnal Equinox staff, will be subject to consequences, up to and including removal and barring from the Artist Alley and Dealers Den. Anyone being intentionally disruptive will be removed, and actions will be reviewed further after the event to decide if future participation will be permissible.
Final decisions related to the Artist Alley fall to Furnal Equinox staff.
Any questions about Artists Alley should be addressed via email to
