Traveling to a rock concert can sometimes be confusing (and crowded). Here are some tips to help.
For many of our die-hard rock fans, it’ll be the first time traveling into the breathtakingly city of Toronto, Ontario. Whether you’re arriving by transit, by air, by car, or by sled dogs (we don’t encourage this in March), we want to make sure you’re arriving safe and sound – and with a place to leave your transportation, if you need it!
(Note: All prices below are quoted in CAD.)
By Car – The address of the hotel is at 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, Ontario M5J 1A6. The hotel is relatively easy to find – as you’re traveling towards it, you can’t miss the massive “Westin” logo on the side of the Skybridge that crosses over Queens Quay W! From there you can either pull up into the jaw-dropping rockstar-level driveway that the Westin Harbour Castle boasts, or make your way to one of the public parking lots in the area (more details on parking below). CAUTION: If you approach the hotel from the southwest direction, such as Lower Simcoe or York street, please follow traffic lines to ensure you do NOT turn into the TTC streetcar tunnel. It’s not fun trying to get out. Click here to access Google Maps and the Westin Harbour Castle’s location!
By Air – Getting downtown has never been easier with the addition of the Union-Pearson Express Train from Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) to downtown, and the transport services from Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) to our Venue. You can reach our Venue from both airports by taking taxis or public transit. If you’re arriving by air to Toronto Pearson International, you can find the Union-Pearson Express train in Terminal 1, and tickets are $24 for round-trip. Click here to buy tickets for the Union-Pearson Express!
If you’re arriving through Billy Bishop Airport and flying with Porter Airlines, there is a complimentary ferry service between the airport and Downtown Toronto. Otherwise, it’s only a short 10-minute transit by car or shuttle to the city.
By Transit (TTC/GO Transit/VIA Rail) – As we’ve mentioned in the past, one of our Venue’s most convenient perks is that it’s within walking distance of Toronto’s transit hub – Union Station! If you’re arriving by transit to Union Station, it’s an easy 10-minute walk down to our Venue. If that’s a bit much, you can take both 509 and 510 TTC streetcars from Union Station to Queen’s Quay, which is *right* outside our Venue. Fares on the TTC start at $3.25 one-way.
Valet Parking – As many of our attendees have asked, we DO have discounted parking at the Westin! Their valet service will be discounted at $25 per night, valid between Thursday to Monday. The valet lot offers a secure and convenient location to park your car for the weekend, AND there are unlimited in/out privileges with it in case you need to make a trip or two! For oversized vehicles, the maximum clearance for the valet lot is 6’1″ – the hotel driveway is more than that, so you are still able to pull up and drop your luggage off. If you are staying at the Westin, please submit your valet ticket to the concierge when you check in – all others, please talk to the Valet kiosk on the Westin’s driveway. Please note that the Valet lot is first-come first-served basis, with a priority on guests staying at the Westin. In case the lot is full, there is plenty of other parking in the area – see below!
Self-Parking – The Westin Harbour Castle also has a self-parking facility located at 16 Harbour Street, The Pinnacle Centre, starting at $40 per night. The building is one street up from The Westin, and easily accessible – please reference the map linked ahead for instructions on how to find it. If you wish to self-park, you MUST obtain a self-park pass at the hotel by asking a Valet or Parking cashier, who will provide you a self-park pass. Click here to view instructions on how to find the self-park!
Public Lots – There are many public parking options around, each with varying rates. You can find a map of the available parking by clicking here!
