The city approaches! Keep marching, troops — V-Day is near!

Here's what we have to cover in Furnal Equinox's March 2013 newsletter, the last one before the con:

Schedule Released!
The FE 2013 schedule and list of dealers were released last week — so check them out and start planning your experience at the convention!

Registration Info
Registration wants to remind you of the following:

  • If you're here and preregistered, pick up your badge on Thursday night in the lobby!
  • Registration will be open from 8 am to 11 pm (reg moves to Con Ops after 8 pm).
  • Don't forget to bring photo ID (and your Parental Consent Form if you're underage).

Charity Auction
The Mississauga Humane Society needs your donations and generosity! You can drop off items to donate in the Art Show on Friday. Make sure to bid generously.

Volunteer Service
We're still in need of volunteers! Send us an e-mail, or simply stop by Con Ops at the convention itself.

There are plenty of ways to keep in touch during the convention — watch for us on Twitter at @furnalequinox and the hashtag #fe2013, as well as the FEN video monitors!

The march continues... less than seven weeks remain until Furnal Equinox 2013! Time to set up camp and take inventory of where we stand.

Remember, every fur must stand up and be counted — we need you!

Prereg Deadline
Preregistration for FE 2013 will close earlier this year: the last day to register online is February 18, 2013. After that you'll have to register at the door, so enlist today!

Submit to the Conbook
Submissions of art and writing are still welcome for the conbook! Get your submissions in on our website before February 8.

Events at the Con
We're still looking for panels on artwork, writing, fursuits, entertainment, and plain old social get-togethers at the con! Make sure to get in touch with us before mid-February.

Serve with Honour
We're looking for volunteers at the convention, especially who haven't served before! You're doing us a great service by providing even an hour or two — just get in contact with us.

FE on YouTube
Meet the Fuzz, our first promotional video profiling Furries in Uniform, has already received over 600 views and 50 likes on YouTube. More videos are coming!

Apply to the Art Show
Artists are invited to apply to participate in Furnal Equinox's Art Show! This is an excellent opportunity to exhibit your work for attendees and sell it as well!

Submit to the Conbook
We have begun accepting submissions for the FE 2013 artwork! We're looking for artwork and stories that complement the theme of Furries in Uniform before February 1, 2013.

Make FE Events Happen
We have an even bigger venue in 2013, and have a schedule to fill. Help us fill it by volunteering to run a panel at the convention! Simply fill out the form on the FE website.

Christmas Party
Our Christmas party on December 15 was a great success! Thanks for everyone who brought food and gifts, and helped clean up. You also raised over $350 for the Mississauga Humane Society!

Winter is approaching, and the troops are falling in formation for the long march until their arrival next spring in Toronto.

But even in the trenches, there's plenty of news in our November newsletter!

Early Enlistment Ends Soon
Early bird registration for FE 2013 closes on November 30, so make sure to register before then for the lowest admission rates! And don't forget about our new Supersponsor level with exclusive benefits never offered before, including a special luncheon!

Art Show and Dealers
Applications for the inaugural FE art show are now open! This is an excellent, stress-free opportunity for talented artists to show off their work at our convention, and for appreciators to take it home.

Travel Discounts
For those travelling from outside of Toronto to FE 2013, there's plenty of ways to save on your travel costs! Air Canada and Via Rail are both offering discounts of 10% off flights and train fares respectively.

Christmas Party
Join us for our Christmas Party on Saturday, December 15 in Etobicoke. All are welcome to bring food for our potluck, gifts for our Secret Santa, and of course plenty of holiday spirit.

The troops are in motion towards Toronto for Furnal Equinox 2013!

To keep you all informed of what's going on with the convention, we're back to publishing our regular News from the Front, or in other words, our monthly newsletters!

Enlist Now
Early enlistment for Furnal Equinox 2013 is currently open on our website! You can register for and attend the convention for as little as $35 for the weekend, or take advantage of our new Supersponsor level with plenty of perks and privileges.

Dealers and Art Show
We still have plenty of space available in our Dealers Den for the convention. Also, applications for our inaugural Art Show are now open — no commission, no hassle!

Hotel Rooms
The room block at our new venue for 2013, the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, is now open! You can call the hotel to reserve your room, or book online.

Halloween Party
We'll be hosting our second annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27 in Etobicoke. Prizes will be available for best suiter and non-suiter costumes, so make sure to come and join us for some haunting fun!
